Often copied, never reached: The Eames Chair

Anyone looking for an Eames chair will inevitably stumble upon a considerable supply of so-called “replicas”. Anyone who wants to be safe in the search for an original can be guided by the distribution rights for Europe, because there is just one manufacturer:

Vitra from Wheil am Rhein is the only legitimate manufacturer for Europe and the Middle East. The Swiss company brought the chair series of the famous designers Charles and Ray Eames to Europe early. Originally conceived in 1950 and made of fiberglass, the seat shells have been made from environmentally friendly polypropylene and connected to different bases since 1999.

High quality materials and good workmanship guarantee a long life and distinguish the original from the cheap copy as well as the clear identification of the manufacturer.

In addition to countless variants and colors, all models have what makes a chair iconic: Absolutely timeless design.
